Not too bad

Today's adventure at Swimming Deer Trail that is. The littles did really well, considering. Lots of hills, lots of rocks...very little crying! We averaged a little over a mile an hour, with the boys (ages 5 and 3), including one rest/water stop and one snack/water/rest stop. Not bad at all given this was the first hike they've been on since last summer. We enjoyed ourselves which was even more important really.

The only low point was...well...it is burn season. Lots of charred ground combined with high winds today made for a sooty hike for a little over half of it. The littles are filthy but my boots are pretty well broken in. A bonus to everything. Now for some pics.

Okay, so go HERE for the pics...blogger is taking AGES to upload!
